S2P-2023 Conference The 17th International Conference on Semi Solid Processing of Alloys & Composites

After few years of sanitary restrictions, S2P conference is back in full in-person mode!

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 17th International Conference on Semi-Solid Processing of Alloys and Composites (S2P2023), which will be held from September 6th to 8th, 2023 at Brescia, Italy.

The 17th S2P International Conference focuses on the advancement in fundamental knowledge and development of materials and industrial processes for semi-solid manufacturing of high-performance metal components. This conference will continue a successful series of conferences on semi-solid processing of alloys and composites started in 1990.

Topics

The Conference is devoted to all aspects of semi-solid processing of metals alloys and composites with emphasis on basic research, engineering application as well as market aspects. Results of engineering research and experience as well as scientific issues are relevant for the conference.

In particular, the Conference topics will cover, but will not be limited to:

• Material development and characterization

• Semi-solid slurry preparation and process developments

• Rheology, modelling and simulation

• Mold design and simulations

• Economic and environmental aspects

• Industrial applications

• Additive manufacturing in SMS processing

Call for abstracts

Those who wish to present a paper at S2P 2023 conference are invited to submit an abstract not later than 15 January 2023:
–  by email (met@aimnet.it), using the >> abstract template (pdf file of max 1 MB)

Abstracts will be evaluated for acceptance by the S2P Scientific Committee.
Authors will be informed by January 25, 2023, if their papers are accepted for next steps.
Authors, who will receive a notification of acceptance, are requested to submit their full papers, via Electronic on-line submission, in English, using the >> paper template, by April 15, 2023. Papers must be of 6 pages. If authors fail to respect the deadline and/or use the standard template, the reviewers will have to reject the papers during the review process without any exception.
All accepted papers will be published, after single-blind peer-review, in Solid State Phenomena (https://www.scientific.net/SSP/Details).
